Hours of Gladness!

While photographing new stock yesterday I came across a lovely book entitled ‘Hours of Gladness’. It is a collection of eight nature essays with intriguing titles such as ‘The Intelligence of the Flowers’ and ‘The Wrath of the Bee’, illustrated beautifully in colour by E.J. Detmold. I particularly like the illustration of the Venus Fly-Trap surrounded by all manner of insect life!
